John E. Brown, Board Certified Real Estate Attorney, owns and operates his own law firm in the beautiful city of Sarasota, FL, where he practices in the areas of acquisition and development of real property.

Professional Achievements

John is admitted to all state courts throughout Florida and Kentucky, and to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He is a member of the Real Property and Trust Section and the Environmental Law Section of the Florida Bar. John is recognized by the Florida Bar as a Board Certified specialist in real property matters, a distinction conferred upon less than two percent of the members of the Florida Bar. John’s practice consists of handling governmental matters such as zoning and land use issues, environmental regulations and other aspects of acquisition and development of real property throughout the State of Florida. He also handles sales, acquisitions and exchanges, title matters and commercial leasing. John’s practice also includes extensive experience in areas of the management and control of condominiums, cooperatives and homeowner’s associations.

Community Involvement

John’s community activities include past board memberships on the Polk County Alliance for the Mentally Ill and the Polk County Mental Health Association. He is a past board member and past president of the Mental Health Community Centers, Inc. He served on the board of the Sarasota Sister Cities Association. John also served as an elected member of the board of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and has previously served as its legal counsel. He is also an affiliate member of the Commercial Investment Division of the Sarasota Board of Realtors.
